In Brindisi Italy , Malta Weightlifting Association President Jesmond Caruana was elected as an Executive Board Member by representatives from the 19 countries participating in the congress of the Mediterranean Weightlifting Confederation
During the presentation of awards, Jesmond was also present with a medal and a Certificate of Merit from the European Weightlifting Federation which expressed their sincere gratitude for the support given to the sport of Weightlifting.
