Promoting Olympic weightlifting

Promoting Olympic weightlifting with children between the age of 10 and 11 at Marsaskala.

This Morning we explain to 250 students, what is weightlifting and its benefits.

With the main focus on flexibility, technique, coordination and speed

In a short session with a stick they learn how to do the basic of

Over head squat

Snatch balance

Raw snatch from hip

How to lock their back

Power snatch from Hang

Power Clean and push press

They also did some lifts with the Eleiko technique barbell with a load of 10kg.
