Team FIRE Takes Victory in Malta Weightlifting Association Team Competition
The Malta Weightlifting Association recently organized its Team Competition at the Marsa Sport Centre, with four teams battling it out for the top spot.
Team FIRE emerged victorious with an impressive 458 points, with all nine athletes contributing to the team’s overall success.
Nathaniel Fenech and Rheanna Briffa produced strong performances and collected valuable points for FIRE. The team also benefited from the performances of its younger athletes, including Fleur Borg Ghigo and Cayenne Mizzi, who played an important role in increasing the team’s final score.
Team THUNDER finished in second place with 433 points, followed by Team HURRICANE with 412 points and Team BLIZZARD with 407 points.
Several athletes also delivered notable individual performances throughout the competition. For Team BLIZZARD, good results came from Mia Sant, Martina Mifsud, Larson Galea, Danny Camilleri, and Matthias Zammit.
For Team HURRICANE, Matten, Ilias Smith, and Noah Mifsud produced strong performances, while Holli Gambin and Ellie Mallia contributed important results for Team THUNDER.
The competition provided an excellent opportunity for athletes of different ages and experience levels to compete together as a team, with every individual performance contributing to the final standings.
