Tenishia Thornton represented Malta for the first time at the Mediterranean Games held in Taranto, Italy.
Competing in the 69kg category, Thornton took to the platform just four weeks after representing Malta at the Commonwealth Games.
She once again produced a strong performance on the day, lifting 92kg in the Snatch and 113kg in the Clean & Jerk.
In the finals, Thornton placed 7th in the Snatch and 8th in the Clean & Jerk, continuing to demonstrate her strength and consistency on the international stage.
We would also like to thank the Malta Olympic Committee for working hard towards supporting and assisting the Malta Team throughout the Games.
